So sorry about that! We do reimburse for damaged cans; we ask that you count the total number that’s damaged and send a picture to firstname.lastname@example.org along with your order number. Depending on the type of can, we multiply that amount by the number that’s damaged and then refund that portion to the related order. We will send you an email once we have processed this order.
Please check your shipment upon receiving and notate any damage you see on the delivery receipt. We can then file a claim with the shipping company for the damages. NEVER refuse a shipment even if it’s damaged, otherwise, you will be charged a redelivery fee once it can be rescheduled.

For your initial order there is a $100 art setup fee, but for reprints of that design there are no associated fees.
We do offer design help here at Crowler Nation: the “Basic Design” for $200 and the “Built from Scratch” option for $500. Your initial art order will also require a $100 art setup fee, but for reprints of that design there is no cost associated. With the “Basic Design” option, you will send us your logo and the basic information that you want on the can. We will then create three templates for you to choose from. You'll pick one that you like best and you'll get two revisions of that design. It’s best to be thorough with each revision. The “Built from Scratch” option offers a little more customization and several revisions to that design, and you’ll have direct communication with the designer along the way as well. These are listed on the website under “Artwork Preferences” when you are placing your order for custom artwork.
Unfortunately we do not alter the graphics in house here, that has to be done on your end. The art fee covers the conversion and the digital proof, but they cannot alter the images.
We cannot send anything to our designer/printer without a PO number, so you must place your custom art order before we can pass along any designs and/or put them on a can.

All initial art orders have a $100 required art setup fee. The art fee is for any new or revised artwork, so reprints of that design will not have that cost associated with them.
It’s more of a personal preference and really depends on the type of look you’re going for. We can send photos or examples of each kind of finish or material so you can see what they look like. Here’s some basic information about the options:
The fold lines are where the sleeve is folded in order to be wrapped on the can. The seam line is where the sleeve is seamed onto the can.
Although the fold lines are virtually invisible when printed, they are more noticeable if they intersect directly with large artwork or designs, like a logo. They do not affect how the sleeve goes on the can, just where the sleeve will be folded so it can wrap around the can.
Not to worry, our printers save all soft proofs, so we’ll take a look at your last soft proof and use the same options you specified that time to print your new order!
Unfortunately no, we cannot create special die cuts. We recommend either cutting out sections of your design to create the shape you’re looking for or to use a clear background with the can showing through and place your shapes on top.
Yes, however this will be an additional cost. If you would like something metallic on your can, we recommend cutting out the parts of your design that you want to be metallic and letting the can show through instead.
Metallic colors are ONLY available on labels. If you would like something to show as metallic on your shrink sleeve, you have to cut out the white layer so the metallic can shines through underneath.
Yes! A hard proof is a single can with your chosen design applied; these only come in gloss finish and would be shipped about 1 week after your approve your soft proof. This costs $100 and you can add a hard proof to your cart under "Cans," then "Shrink Sleeve Cans."
A press proof is a sample of your label and would also be shipped about 1 week after you approve your soft proof. This costs $25 plus shipping (usually $10-15) and you can add a press proof to your cart under "Labels."

Machines, parts, blank can orders of less than 5 boxes, generic labels, generic shrink-wrapped cans, and any other small parcel order will ALWAYS ship out of our main facility in Longmont, CO.
Blank can orders of 5 boxes or more and custom shrink sleeve orders (along with lids if they’re included in the order) will ship out of whichever facility is closest to you.
For UPS shipments, you should receive an email from UPS with a tracking number once it is picked up.

Cans - Large orders of cans ship out of whichever facility is closest to you and ship separately from any small parcel or custom artwork orders.
Lids - Our warehouse team will sometimes put the sleeve of lids inside the box of cans, so that they don’t get lost during the shipment. Please open all the boxes and take a look to see if the lids are inside.
Custom labels - These ship separately from all other products and have a 2 week lead time.
Custom cans - These ship separately from all other products and have a 4 week lead time.
The Gold Standard 8000D Seamer costs $3943 and the Platinum Pro Direct Drive EL300DD Seamer costs $5943.
The 8000D is our original model; as with most first-generation technology, it is much larger and noisier. Due to its larger size and mechanical clutch, there are more moving parts within the machine, so more repairs will be needed in the long run.
The Direct Drive has a stepper motor drive that eliminates the mechanical clutch. Because of this, it has fewer moving parts overall and this will mean fewer repairs down the road. It is also quieter, smaller, more streamlined, has a National Sanitation Foundation certification for food safety and a removable plastic splash guard.
The dimensions for the Gold Standard 8000D machine are 22"x12"x23" and the dimensions for the Platinum Pro Direct Drive EL300DD machine are 18"x12"x18". Both machines weigh 65lbs.
Both machines are available in 120V/9amps and 240V/6amps.
A standard electrical outlet is sufficient to power your machine.
We recommend purchasing a lubrication kit along with your machine for maintenance purposes. One is an oil and one is a petrol gel; both are food grade and silicone-free. We have a how-to video on our website that explains how to maintain your machine.
Our machines support both 32oz and 25.4oz/750mL cans. On the Standard 8000D, all you’ll need to switch between the two sizes is a plastic piece called a spacer that boosts the baseplate up a few inches so that it’s tall enough to seam the 25.4oz cans. If you would like a spacer, please request one in the Customer Order Notes so we can make sure to send you one.
If you purchase or own a Direct Drive, all you have to do is move the baseplate to the higher notch on the body of the machine.
Our newest versions of both the Gold Standard 8000D and Platinum Pro Direct Drive EL300DD machine come with an updated dome chuck, which can seam both resealable and pop-top lids.
If you own an older machine and want to switch/seam both, please select the Seamer Exchange Program on our website for $775 and we will send you a machine with the updated dome chuck.
Unfortunately, other machines on the market cannot seam cans to our resealable lid.
Right now our seamers are only capable of seaming the 32oz or 25.4oz cans, due to them sharing the same diameter lid. We don’t currently offer any kind of conversion kit, but you can find machines for that size can at WAFCO.com.
Yes! All of our models come with our lifetime warranty and service. You can call our office at any time and we will help you troubleshoot any issues your machine might have.

If your Standard 8000D machine reaches a point where it is broken beyond repair or it would cost more to fix the machine than it’s worth, we recommend participating in the Seamer Exchange Program. For $775, we will send you a newly refurbished Standard 8000D machine and you send your old machine back to us. Once you’ve received your new machine, simply place your old machine in the same box and, using the return label we send to you, ship it back! We cover the cost of shipping both ways and you get a machine that has all new tooling and parts for a fraction of the cost of a new machine! You can now order a Seamer Exchange on our website!

We offer an upgrade option for the Direct Drive that's very similar to the exchange program. Crowler cans CANNOT be used for holding beverages such as cold brew coffee, root beer, or anything that does not contain alcohol. This is primarily because the BPANI liner is specifically designed for alcoholic beverages. This can become a safety issue when the liner is holding liquid that it was not intended for and/or the liquid remains in the can for an extended period of time.
The BPANI liner is only designed for carbonated alcoholic beverages with at least 5% ABV. If the liquid is non-alcoholic, the liner will deteriorate and this allows toxic bacteria like botulism to grow inside and contaminate the liquid.
Yes, but we do not recommend storing the cans for longer than 2 weeks. After that, the liner will start to affect the taste of the beer.
The shelf life of a filled Crowler can vary. Some of the factors that affect the shelf life/stability of the can are:
If all of these are followed, the beer should be fine if consumed within 7 days, although we have heard stories of people having much longer shelf lives.
The three subjective factors that are difficult to gauge when determining shelf life are: the person pouring the beer, or quality of the pour itself; the beer style (some beers pour easier than others); and how cold you are keeping it (e.g. is it rolling around the backseat of a car for a day or was it put right in the fridge?).
Finally, the Crowler was created as a “to go” option and is not meant to house alcohol for extended periods of time – especially beverages other than beer.
No, the BPANI liner is NOT designed to be used more than once and can become a safety issue if it is.
The resealable lids are completely recyclable, except for the screw-on cap. We’ve been told that this can technically be recycled and that most facilities have a way to separate the non-recyclable portion of the top from the rest of the aluminum. The seal inside the cap is a plant-based material that de-gases the liquid in the can.
No; the inks and material used are not recyclable due to silicone in the material and wax in the inks. In order to recycle the can, please remove the label first and throw it away separately.
What you are seeing on the bottom of the cans is just the non-BPA liner; occasionally this bubbles up on the bottom of the can but is not toxic in any way nor will this leach into the beer. All of our cans are top-grade and cleared for safe use; the liner bubbling up like that is a cosmetic defect but not a performance defect.
We recommend purging at a low pressure (7 psi), high volume (standard beer line) for five seconds.
No, the machine only seams cans.
While a CO2 purger is not required for the filling/seaming process, we recommend having one because it aids in the quality of the package since it removes most opportunities for oxygen contact. It can be installed by a draft technician, as everything used is also used for draft gas lines.
These are Trademark Agreements that you sign when you register your account online. These are simple agreements regarding the trademark symbol (®) being required any time the word “Crowler” is used on your cans, as well as some brief verbiage regarding the intended use of the cans.
Our 4-Pack Pak Tech Carriers are a redesign of our previous carrier and are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. They fit any 300 series lid and can be broken down into a 2-Pack carrier. They are currently available in black, red, green, yellow, and orange.
The Labeler AP360 is a special machine that applies your custom labels to your cans for you! It is a semi-automatic, table-top labeling machine that is quick to set up, easy to operate, and can label up to 1200 labels per hour on any size cylindrical container. Essentially you place the roll on the label machine and add the cans in one at a time. There is a pedal that you step on to apply the label, so you can do it at your own pace. It is priced at $1543.
